1. Ketkä voivat liittyä?

Ammattikorkeakoululain (42 a §) mukaan kaikki päätoimiset opiskelijat (ylemmän amk-tutkinnon opiskelijat ovat myös päätoimisia) voivat kuulua opiskelijakuntaan ja opiskelijakunta voi halutessaan ottaa jäsenikseen myös muita ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijoita (esim. vaihto-opiskelijat).

2. Mitä saan liittyessäni?

• opiskelija-alennuksia eli jäsenetuja sekä mm. ateriatuetun lounaan opiskelijahintaan missä vain oppilaitosruokalassa
• palveluja, kuten tutorointi, erilaiset tapahtumat sekä yleisen edunvalvonnan mm. koulaadun kehittäminen
• maksaessasi koko opiskeluaikaisen jäsenmaksun saat leffalipun veloituksetta
• saat opiskelijakalenterin
• saat paljon paikallisia alennuksia

3. Sininen vai vihreä opiskelijakortti?

Jäsenetujen saamiseksi tarvitset joko SINISEN (päätoimiset opiskelijat, ml. ylemmän amk-tutkinnon opiskelijat) tai VIHREÄN (henkilöt, jotka eivät täytä sinisen kortin myöntämiskriteerejä) SAMOK-opiskelijakortin. Opiskelijakorttien ehdot:

Sinisen SAMOK-opiskelijakortin ehdot (ns. päätoimiset opiskelijat)
Opiskelijan on täytettävä KAIKKI seuraavat ehdot:

1. Opiskelija opiskelee päätoimisesti ja palkatta ammattikorkeakoulussa eikä ole työssä vakinaisessa virassa tai vakinaiseen virkaan rinnastettavassa työsuhteessa. Opiskelija on ilmoittautunut ammattikorkeakouluun läsnolevaksi kyseiselle lukukaudelle/lukuvuodelle, mistä hänen tulee vaadittaessa esittää todistus.
2. Opiskelija suorittaa ammattikorkeakoulututkintoa eikä ole suorittanut ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa. AMK-tutkintonimikkeitä ovat esimerkiksi tradenomi, sairaanhoitaja (AMK), insinööri (AMK) tai sosionomi (AMK).
3. Opiskelijan opintojen yhtäjaksoinen kesto on vähintään 8 kuukautta. Vaihto-opiskelijan ei tarvitse suorittaa koko kestoa Suomessa, kunhan esittää todistuksen, josta tutkinnon vähintään kahdeksan kuukauden säännönmukainen kesto selviää.
4. Opiskelu ei ole oppisopimuskoulutusta eikä kuulu työvoimakoulutuksen tai henkilöstökoulutuksen piiriin.
5. Opiskelija liittyy jäseneksi oman ammattikorkeakoulunsa opiskelijakuntaan.
6. Opiskelija sitoutuu palauttamaan opiskelijakorttinsa, mikäli valmistuu tai ei enää muutoin täytä näitä myöntämisehtoja. Kortin käyttö sen jälkeen, kun kaikki ehdot eivät enää täyty, on rangaistava teko.

Vihreän SAMOK-opiskelijakortin myöntämisehdot (muu kuin päätoiminen opiskelu)

1. Opiskelija opiskelee ammattikorkeakoulussa.
2. Opiskelija liittyy jäseneksi oman ammattikorkeakoulunsa opiskelijakuntaan.
3. Opiskelija sitoutuu palauttamaan opiskelijakorttinsa, mikäli valmistuu tai ei enää muutoin täytä näitä myöntämisehtoja. Kortin käyttö sen jälkeen, kun kaikki ehdot eivät enää täyty, on rangaistava teko.

Sinisellä kortilla saat ateriatuen ja paikallisten alennusten lisäksi mm. VR:n ja Matkahuollon 50 %:n alennukset, kun taas vihreällä kortilla saat ateriatuen ja paikalliset alennukset sekä rajoitetusti valtakunnallisia alennuksia. Opiskelija-alennukset löydät: www.opiskelijankymenlaakso.fi

Lukuvuositarra on osoitus jäsenyydestä ja oikeuttaa opiskelija-alennuksiin

Kun sinulla on voimassaoleva lukuvuositarra kortissasi, saat opiskelija-alennukset. VR, Matkahuolto ja Kela vaativat lukuvuositarran valvoakseen alennuksiaan ja ateriatuen käyttöä. Lukuvuositarran saat liittymällä opiskelijakunta Klaaniin tai jatkamalla jäsenyyttäsi.

4. Paljonko liittyminen maksaa?

Opiskelijakunnan jäsenmaksu on 7,50 euroa/lukukausi vuonna 2010. Jäsenmaksun maksamiseen lisätään käsittelymaksu 5 euroa/kerta ja uusille jäsenille liittymismaksu 5 euroa. Uusi kortti kadonneen, varastetun tai rikkoutuneen tilalle maksaa 10 euroa. Opiskelija voi halutessaan maksaa jäsenmaksun etukäteen haluamakseen ajaksi lukukausittain. Etukäteen maksettu jäsenmaksu palautetaan jäsenen sitä takaisin anoessa. Käsittelymaksua ei palauteta. Jos jäsen haluaa siirtää etukäteen maksamaansa jäsenmaksua lukukaudesta toiseen poissaolon takia, tulee hänen tehdä siitä anomus. Jäsenmaksun siirtoa lukukaudelta toiselle voi perustella vain poissaolon takia. Jäsenmaksun siirron käsittelee pääsihteeri ja epäselvissä tapauksissa hallitus. Jäsenmaksun siirto voidaan tehdä myös jälkikäteen, jos hakija esittää läsnäolotodistuksen poissaolokaudestaan. Jäsenmaksun siirrosta ei peritä käsittelymaksua.

4.1 Uusi jäsen

4.2 Jatkava jäsen (uusi tarra vanhaan korttiin)

Maksu sisältää käsittelymaksun.

Verkkopankkimaksamiseen liittyvän maksu- ja rahoituspalvelun toteuttaa Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy (2122839-7) yhteistyössä suomalaisten pankkien ja luottolaitosten kanssa. Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy ostaa maksusuorituksen ja tilittää sen opiskelijakunta Klaanille. Käyttäjän kannalta palvelu toimii aivan kuten perinteinen verkkomaksaminenkin.

30.7.2010 palveluumme on lisätty uudeksi maksuvaihtoehdoksi PayPal tili.

Uuden lukuvuosi- tai lukukausitarran saat kuittia vastaan oman toimipisteesi alayhdistyksiltä.

Jäsenyyden uusiminen tästä

Uuden kortin kadonneen, varastetun tai rikkoutuneen tilalle voit myös tilata tästä. Kortti maksaa 10 euroa. Jos kyseessä on nimenmuutos, toimita vanha korttisi uuden opiskelijakortin saatuasi opiskelijakunnan toimistolle tai kortin noutopisteeseen noutaessasi uutta korttiasi. 4.3 Siirto-opiskelija

Kun siirryt toisesta oppilaitoksesta Kymenlaakson ammattikorkeakouluun ja haluat liittyä jäseneksi, liityt uutena jäsenenä. Tällöin saat opiskelijakuntakohtaisen opiskelijakortin.

5. Miten liityn?

Olemme siirtyneet sähköisen jäsenlomakkeen käyttöön. Sivun alareunasta löydät linkin sivulle, jossa voit täyttää jäsenhakemuksesi. Liitä sähköiseen hakemukseen digitaalinen valokuvasi (max 3 megatavua, tallennusmuoto jpg.). Valmis opiskelijakortti toimitetaan omalle alayhdistyksellesi noin yhden viikon kuluttua. Saat tiedon kortin saapumisesta koulun sähköpostiosoitteeseesi.

6. Miten voin erota tarvittaessa?

Toimita kirjallinen eroilmoitus opiskelijakunnalle erillisellä lomakkeella. Ilmoita lomakkeessa nimesi, yhteystietosi, jäseneksi liittymisvuotesi ja pankkitilin numero, jolle haluat jäsenmaksun palautuksen.

Jäsenmaksu palautetaan täysien käyttämättömien vuosien osalta ja jäsenmaksun palautuksesta vähennetään käsittelykulut. Maksettua jäsenmaksua voidaan siirtää vuodella eteenpäin, mikäli on esimerkiksi tarvetta ilmoittautua poissaolevaksi kesken opiskelun.

7. Miten toimia, jos opiskelijakorttini katoaa, rikkoontuu tai nimeni vaihtuu?

8. Opiskelijakortin tarrojen voimassaoloajat

Opiskelijakortin voimassaolo osoitetaan lukukausi-/vuositarralla:

• syyslukukausitarra on voimassa seuraavan vuoden tammikuun loppuun (esim. syksy 2010 -tarra voimassa tammikuun 2011 loppuun)
• lukuvuositarra on voimassa jälkimmäisen vuoden syyskuun loppuun (esim. lukuvuosi 2010-2011 –tarra voimassa syyskuun 2011 loppuun)

Tarra osoittaa opiskelijakunnan jäsenyyden ja opiskelijan oikeuden opiskelijaetuihin ja –alennuksiin. Tarran saamisen edellytyksenä on opiskelijakunnan jäsenmaksun suorittaminen.

1. Who can join?

According to the law of the UAS (paragraph 42a) all who primarily study can join in the Student Union and the Student Union can, if it wants, accept other students of the UAS (e.g. exchange students).

2. What do I get when I join?

• student benefits like supplemented meals in school cafeterias
• services like tutoring, various kinds of events and general trusteeship through the development of education and projects
• when you pay the whole membership fee of your studies you get a free movie ticket
• you get a student calendar
• you get lots of local discounts

3. Blue or green student card?

To get membership benefits you need either a blue or green student card. The blue student card is granted to fulltime students, also the students of higher UAS degree get the blue student card. The terms of granting the student card are here:

THE TERMS OF GRANTING A BLUE STUDENT CARD (full-time students)
The student has to fulfil ALL of the following terms:

1. The student has registered to be present at the university of applied sciences for the semester or academic year or has bindingly accepted a study place for the academic year
2. The student is studying a basic degree of the university of applied sciences e.g. BBA (AMK), nurse (AMK), engineer (AMK).
3. The student has not completed an upper level degree in university e.g. MBA.
4. The student studies full-time, either in the daytime or in the evening or alike. The full-time of the studies may have to be proven with a certificate given by the university of applied sciences.
5. The student has no income from a permanent job or a working contract related to a permanent job or entrepreneur income; one is not on a leave of absence for studying from the permanent job or studying appointed by the employment office.
6. The student joins the Student Union Klaani.
7. The length of the studies of the student is at least 8 months.
8. The student agrees to return the student card after graduation or is otherwise unable to fulfil these terms.

With the blue student card the student is entitled to all of the student discounts given nationwide or locally. If the student does not fulfil the terms of the blue student card one can apply for the green student card.

THE TERMS OF GRANTING A GREEN STUDENT CARD (part-time students)
To get a green student card the student has to fulfil the following terms:

1. The student has registered to be present at the university of applied sciences for the semester or the academic year or has bindingly accepted a study place for the academic year.
2. The student joins the student organisation of one’s own department.
3. The student agrees to return the student card after graduation or is otherwise unable to fulfil these terms.

With the green student card the student is entitled to the student discounts given in Kouvola and Kotka and the supplemented meals by the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (KELA) and benefits given by Hostelling International Finland (SRM).

When you have the blue student card you get supplemented meals and local discounts and also the 50 % discount from Finnish Railways (VR) and long distance buses (Matkahuolto). When you have the green student card you get supplemented meals and local discounts and also restricted nationwide discounts. The student discounts you will find at www.opiskelijankymenlaakso.fi.

When you have the academic year sticker you are entitled to get student discounts. You get the academic year sticker by joining the Student Union Klaani or by continuing your studies.

4. How much do I have to pay?

The membership fee of the Student Union Klaani is 7.50 euros/semester in 2010. The coverage fee is 5 euros/time for old members and for new members there is a sign-up fee of 5 euros. If your card is lost, stolen or broken you have to pay 10 euros to get a new card. The student can, if one wants, pay the membership fee in advance for the time one wants per semester. The membership fee paid in advance can be returned if the member requests it. The Student Union will not pay back the coverage fee. If the member wants to transfer the membership fee paid in advance one semester to another, due to absence, it has to be applied for. The only reason to transfer the membership from one semester to another is absence. The Secretary General will transfer the membership fee and when there is something unclear the Board will make the decision. It is also possible to make a transfer of the membership fee afterwards if the applicant shows the certification of presence when one has been away. We don’t charge any coverage fee for the transfer.

4.1 New member

The coverage and the sign-up fee are included in the payment.

If your card is lost, stolen or broken you can order a new one from the link below. The new card costs you 10 euros. If you change your name, bring your old card after receiving your new card to the office of the Student Union or to your own branch organisation. When your card is ready we will send you an e-mail to your school address. 4.3 Transfer student

When you change your school, you have to join as a new member to Student Union Klaani. Also you will get a new student card.

5. How do I join?

We are using an electronic membership form. From the link below you will find the page where you can fill out your membership application. Please attach your digital photo to the application. Your student card will be delivered to your own branch organisation after about four weeks. We will send you an e-mail when your card is ready.

6. How can I resign?

Send your written announcement of resignation  to the Student Union Klaani. Please fill the resignation form your name, when you joined the Student Union Klaani and the number of your bank account. Only unused full year membership fees will be returned and the coverage fee will be decreased from the payment. The paid membership fee can be transferred one year forward.

7. What happens if my student card is lost, broken or my name changes?

You can order a new card from the link jasenet.opiskelijakuntaklaani.com/liity.php . If your memebership is in valid (you have payed allready membership fee in this academic year), pay only 10 euros. If your membership is not in valid, please order the student card as a new member.

8. How long are the stickers valid?

• The autumn semester sticker is valid till the end of next year’s January (e.g. autumn sticker 2010 is valid till the end of January 2011).
• The academic year sticker is valid till the end of next year’s September (e.g. the sticker of 2010-2011 is valid till the end of September 2011).
